Linx International Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Norway-based SOS Academy. The companies will now collaborate on the development and delivery of world-leading academic and vocational security and risk-related training delivered in the classroom, online or via blended learning.
The agreement also covers the provision of security consulting services currently provided by both organisations.
SOS Academy has been operating in Norway since 1987, all the while providing a range of security services to major corporations throughout Scandinavia. The business is a leading provider of security training courses. Its sister company, namely SOS Event Security, provides security consultancy, security guarding and event security services for concerts, festivals and sporting events.
Jon S Jacobsen, founder of SOS Academy, stated: “SOS Academy is pleased to collaborate with Linx International Group due to its excellent reputation, results and student feedback. The Group’s MSc programme in International Security and Risk Management has great appeal, as does the exceptional choice of vocational and accredited security courses. There’s no other training provider that offers such a range of quality management and technical courses, and we’re therefore delighted to represent Linx International Group across Scandinavia. We look forward to extending our relationship with them.’’
David Gill CSyP, managing director of Linx International Group, commented: “We are proud to be working in partnership with SOS Academy. The MoU covers the provision of Group training programmes, including our MSc in International Security and Risk Management and The Security Institute’s accredited courses, throughout Scandinavia, where there’s a lack of equivalent qualifications, but an identified demand for them.”
Gill added: “This new agreement also affords Linx International Group an enhanced position in the Scandinavian security training market, enabling us to provide our professional training and consultancy services to a wider security-focused audience.”
Linx International Group and SOS Academy will now formulate a detailed business plan, with full operations expected to commence in line with the 2018-2019 academic year.
