As we enter 2025, Tavcom will celebrate 30 years at its Hampshire Training Centre of Excellence delivering internationally recognised and acclaimed range of BTEC accredited vocational qualifications in the world of electronic security systems.
Hampshire, with superbly located with main line stations at Botley, Winchester, Fareham & Eastleigh, and Southampton International Airport on our doorstep, is only 70 miles from central London. It is also accessible via the M3, M27, A3, A32.
Technologically, Hampshire has one of the largest creative presences outside of London. It’s a hub for the defence industry and includes drone manufacturing, robotics research, satellites and communications technology, and, being close to London, is also a magnet for global players and dynamic start-ups. Hampshire’s economy is worth £50.7 billion and is the home to key institutions like the British Army, The Royal Navy, Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) and additionally, it’s home to a growing cluster of companies specialising in innovative cybersecurity solutions. Fascinatingly, Hampshire’s space sector is part of the Space South Central cluster region, the largest regional space cluster in the UK with more than 180 companies engaged in high-tech innovative work, employing thousands of people.
