Job Title:

Technical Support and Product Evaluation Manager

Details of the post:

The candidate’s main duties are to set up and manage the day to day running of Tavcom Training Electronic Security Product evaluation Laboratory.

This would include:

Liaising with clients to understand their requirements
Create test analysis environment pertaining to their needs
Source correct test equipment and tools for the laboratory
Calibrate all equipment
Produce a written brief of test carried out
Ensure quality control of tests and controls are in place
Develop test procedures for each test
Present findings to Tavcom board and client in written form as well as verbally
Service and repair security equipment at training centre
Maintain computer systems within Tavcom offices and training centre
Ensure perimeter security systems are online and working correctly
Training of staff, tutors and delegates on electronic security systems
Travelling to South Africa to deliver training to local population at Tavcom hub in Johannesburg
Installation of CCTV, EAS, Biometric and RFID systems


Qualifications and/or skills required:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Excellent understanding of electronic security products, including CCTV, Biometrics, EAS, Biometrics and RFID systems
A BTEC Level 4 in CCTV systems
A recognised training qualification
Experience in setting up an evaluation centre
Experience of installation of security systems
Experience of liaising with clients
An understanding of cost centres
Ability to undertake PC Repairs
Computer literacy in Win XP, MS Office, MS Outlook, Win 95, Win 98 MS Dos operating systems
