Training the Engineers of Tomorrow

The deployment of electronic security systems is expanding rapidly on a global basis, and in future years the need to supply skilled technicians to install and maintain such ‘high tech’ equipment will reach new heights. 

Today,  the education and involvement of our young people in ‘Modern Apprentice’ schemes is vital and, with the support and encouragement of the UK government, increasing numbers of companies are recognising the importance of 'growing their own' not only for their own commercial benefit but also for that of society as a whole.

Leading the way forward, Tavcom Training is supporting Skills for Security in this essential training for the engineers and technicians of the future. Students will attend day release training at college over 18 months where they will receive the ‘technical theory’ element of the three sections required for successful completion of the security systems apprenticeship programme as well as ‘key skills’ education.  

Alongside their college attendance students will complete practical ‘on the job’ competence based training with their employer as well as  receiving one to one support from their assessor who will visit them in the workplace and maintain regular contact throughout the apprenticeship.
